iCF-PWR is an Internet-based mental health prevention program for children and adolescents with cystic fibrosis (CF) and their siblings. The iCF-PWR was developed with children and adolescents with CF and their families, health care providers, and clinicians and researchers at the University of Regina with funding from the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation (SHRF) and the Saskatchewan Centre for Patient Oriented Research (SCPOR).
The iCF-PWR was designed to help those with CF and their siblings learn more about CF, themselves, and about strategies that could be helpful. Each person who completes the iCF-PWR will become more powerful as they will have new knowledge and information that can help in their lives. The iCF-PWR can be completed in the comfort of their own home across the following topics:
-
What is Cystic Fibrosis (CF)?
-
How to stay healthy with CF
-
How CF Affects Me
-
Feelings, Bodily Sensations, Thoughts, Behaviours- How do they all fit together?
-
Now what? What to do with all these thoughts and feelings
